Overview

This B&B is certainly great in winter, when it’s just a short skip to the trails of Cranmore Mountain ski area; but it really comes into its own during summer and fall, when guests can explore the 8 acres of fields and woodland that surround the property. That includes a pond that is stocked with trout for fishing (bring your own pole or pick one up at the Walmart in town), as well as hiking and snowshoeing trails, an outdoor pool, and an outdoor hot tub (that is also open in winter.)

Among the rooms are several designated “family rooms,” including some with two double beds, and one with a double bed with an adorable kid-sized bunk bed at its foot. In addition, the inn has two suites, one with a kitchenette. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, if not luxurious. On the other hand, guests rave about the cooked-to-order hot breakfast that is included in the room rate; the pancakes are particularly to-die-for.

Excellent place away from the crowd

by Sugato01

Nice and quiet place run by a cheerful couple. The notice, hung at the reception, says that if you're Grouchy or irritable, there will be an additional charge of $ 10 :-)
Good choice of freshly cooked breakfast is surely an added bonus

Leaf peeper trip

Nice, rustic B&b. Great hot breakfast included. Run by a very helpful French family. Loved the quiet location but only 5 mins from town. Great drives to white mountains and Mt. Washington and south to lake area.
