Overview

This beautiful inn sits by itself on a high bluff overlooking the Susitna River and miles of wilderness. Every room of the inn provides spectacular unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. Those rooms are perfect for a family looking for all the comforts of home. The Denali View Suite features a queen bed, twin bed and a full futon, along with a high wall of picture windows for that view. The suite also includes an oversized bathroom with two sinks and a charming clawfoot bathtub. Other amenities include satellite TV, DVD player, free Wi-Fi, and a free home-cooked breakfast. Kids will love the large common room that is well-stocked with board games, puzzles and joke books.

Located 5 miles south of Talkeetna, the Denali Overlook Inn sits on acres of unspoiled wilderness. You can explore the grounds, play in the nearby creek, or drive a half-mile up the road to Fish Lake to rent a canoe or paddleboat. Fish Lake is also home to the Alaska Bush Float Plane Service, which offers several amazing flightseeing trips into Denali National Park. A few miles further north are kid-friendly hiking trails around Talkeetna Lakes, where you’re sure to see a moose or two. The historic town of Talkeetna is an easy 10-minute drive from the inn. You’ll find a fun mix of quirky art galleries, souvenir shops and outstanding restaurants, as well as other vendors offering popular excursions around the area. After a long day, you can all reminisce around the fire pit as your hosts bring out S’mores fixings. Breathing Taking Views! Outstanding B&B!

Our stay at Denali Overlook Inn was without doubt a highlight to our stay in Talkeetna. We (hubby, teenage daughter and myself) were astounded by the beauty of the property, the rooms, and of course the views! The first time we were greeted by Denali was during the sunrise. The Great One literally looked like it was floating on a bed of clouds. I kid you not it took my breath away, gasped so loudly I woke my family! We had already been at the in for a day and half. That day was clear and lovely, it felt so special to having that majestic view the entire day til sunset. We stayed in the big room, Denali view. It was a nicely appointed room having, comfy beds, recliner chairs to watch the valley below and of course Alaska's majestic mountain. The accommodations nothing less of outstanding for a B&B. Our hostess Laura was nothing short of a sweetheart. She helped us sort out things to do during our stay, told us fascinating stories, and in short we learned so much from her about Talkeetna and the Alaskan lifestyle. We feel like we made friends in Talkeetna and simply can't wait for our next visit.

Spectacular Property and Views!

We spent one night at the Denali Overlook Inn on our way from Fairbanks to Anchorage. We got their late. Michelle was very accomodating and made sure we were well settled. We were blown away by the view wen we woke up in the morning. A spectacular view of Denali from the picture window. No expense was spared to build/refurbish this property...truly amazing! I wish we had stayed at least 2 nights to take advantage of this beautiful place.
