This cool and vintage hotel has been offering guests luxury and modern amenities dating back to 1912. Located in New York’s Adirondacks and in the heart of downtown Utica, Hotel Utica extensively renovated its 112 comfortable guestrooms and 14 spacious suites which now feature recharging stations for electronics, a mini-fridge and Wi-Fi in order to stay connected. The fitness center is a great place to keep up with your work outs as well. We were on a road trip from Pittsburgh to Poughkeepsie and decided to stay at the DoubleTree Utica because of its history, architecture and great reviews. It didn’t disappoint. Such beauty in the lobby. The rooms with the Sweet Dreams bedding couldn’t have been more luxurious. Although the hotel had a bar and restaurant, we opted to walk 2 short blocks to Motus restaurant to get a feel for this charming city. Congratulations Hilton for preserving this historic 1912 hotel where Judy Garland sang from the mezzanine ????
Traveled to Utica for a funeral, the hotel is centrally located, up to the standards of any large metro hotel as to quality, cleanliness, professional staff. Additionally this is a beautiful piece of local history, not a cookie cutter, you-could-be-anywhere chain hotel.
