2 Week stay @ Dreams Palm Beach

by Shamook13

Myself and my wife just arrived back after a 2 week holiday at "Dreams Palm Beach" we arrived 5th September 2019.

First impressions were typical of the older style Caribbean Hotels but were clean and tidy and well maintained.

Upon arrival during check inn we were offered a upgrade for our room at a cost to us of $55 per night but decided against this since we were not spending the entire time in the room. (the rooms at prefered from the outside looked very similar to normal rooms anyway).

Room : We stayed in block 8 top floor. The room itself was clean and tidy but a little aged as i guess its a old complex. We did have to fix our toilet flush but it was a quick fix that i managed myself without the need to ask staff. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and fresh towels were provided.

Pool and Beach area : Some seaweed on the beach but was cleaned up very well in our fist week but very little during our second week. No hassle from sellers up and down the beach.

Restaurants & Buffet : Food in the buffet was ok but after two weeks we got sick of the same menu. However there are a few restaurants that can be mixed up and i have to be honest all of our food was spot on could not fault it.

The staff at the resort were absolutely fantastic and very friendly they couldnt do enough for you. They work very long and hard shifts and go above and beyond to help you out.

one problem we found was when a young girl got accidently burnt by hot water from the table she was sat at (nothing to do with the staff just a pure accident). no staff during breakfast time knew any sort of first aid and if it wasnt for a nurse that was staying at the resort it could of been much worse. ( little girl was ok btw few days later).

Good holiday for myself and my wife the weather was very good apart from the last 2 days as a storm was brewing but by that time we were ready to come home.

Fun in the sun is a key element of relaxation and enjoyment of a Dreams holiday. The resort's recent multi-million dollar renovation includes the addition of a new larger pool as well as enhancements to the existing pools. In total there are three pools in the center of the resort, as well as a private pool for Preferred Club guests. There is also a hot tub for Preferred Club guests. There are ample lounge chairs, and during the day the recreation staff organizes games and other pool fun.

White sand, turquoise calm water and gentle breezes make this beach truly a dream. There are ample shady huts on the beach, and dozens of lounge chairs. Another highlight is an inflatable trampoline in the shallow part of the ocean that was a hit with both young and young at heart. Guests can swim, sail, snorkel, windsurf in the blue ocean and even take an introductory dive lesson for free as part of the Dreams experience.
