Overview

The Dunes on the Waterfront offers direct access to beautiful Ogunquit Beach, named one of the 10 Best Beaches for Families in 2015. And that’s just part of the charm.

At The Dunes on the Waterfront, families have the option to stay in one- or two-bedroom cottages with fully equipped kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces and screened-in porches from which you and the kids can enjoy views of the sand dunes. Cottages sleep up to six guests. Cottage Suites for couples are also available and a nice option for grandparents or other extended family. Standard guestrooms with one king or two queen beds are available, as well; they are all equipped with Keurig coffeemakers and outdoor sitting areas. Connecting options are available for guestrooms.

Pets are welcome. Be sure to check out the hotel’s packages, which include a package for pets!

Beautiful grounds

by Jane52_13

We enjoyed being able to get away from the bustle of Ogunquit onto the well-kept grounds of The Dunes. Our standard guest room was very clean and comfortable, although the space is small. The front office staff was very helpful with local recommendations. The property is quite attractive, but - be warned - it is not "on" the beach.

BE CAREFUL When You Make Your Reservation

by JaneBoSox

You really need to be careful when you're making your reservation. We went here one year and had a really nice kitchen in our cabin, which made our trip doable and very pleasant, and we wanted to return this year. The cabin actually contains two units; naturally we assumed that each unit has a kitchen. However, that's not the case,, we discovered this summer, AFTER we made our reservation. Given that we are a family who does NOT eat out and the full refrigerator is extremely important to us, this was a BIG DEAL.

I think the website should be explicit: INCLUDES kitchen with full refrigerator, or DOES NOT INCLUDE KITCHEN WITH FULL REFRIGERATOR.
