Wonderful hotel

by peachyviews

We stayed in a suite at the front of the hotel with a room overlooking the canal. Well worth the price to stay in a front larger room, as many reviewers noted how small each floor is. We arrived very early in the morning and had to wait to late afternoon to check into our room, which was tiring after an overnight flight. But we were very happy with the room, very clean and oversized with a large modern bathroom. The hotel is a nice small boutique choice in a beautiful old building with a very comfortable bar - lounge area for anytime of day. We did not eat dinner in the formal restaurant due to the limited menu (me being vegetarian). My only suggestion would be to have a broader menu for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet is expensive if you don't want to eat a huge meal so more items (a la carte) on the menu would be good. The staff are all very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The hotel is in a good location if you like walking around the city. We look forward to returning!

just charming.

This hotel does a lovely job - we didn't eat here but so enjoyed hanging out in the bar area and the staff is friendly and accomodating. We paid top dollar because it was Kings day, but the location is lovely and the bed, linens etc very nice.
