This hotel was a surprise. We wanted to stay as cheaply as possible on our trip to the coast. It has been years since we stayed at an Econolodge. We were very surprised to find that it had been nicely renovated. We had our two dogs with us and we did have to put down a deposit for them which was $20 per dog. I thought that was a little bit steep but it was worth it because they let us have the dogs there. There were plenty of places nearby to eat. The receptionist was knowledgeable and very friendly. We did not eat the continental breakfast because there really wasn’t much to it. We instead found a bigger shop up the street that had really good breakfast bagels. Otherwise the beds were comfortable, the bathroom had been updated nicely and it was quiet. We did not check out the pool at all because we had the animals with us. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised and pleased.

This was my first visit to this hotel. They were sold out the prior night, so check in was a little slow as rooms were not readily available, but not a problem, as there were lots of places to go have lunch to kill a few minutes close by.
The staff and management were all friendly and helpful. The facility from the outside looks very aged, however, the rooms and the pool are were very clean and inviting.
I am not a fan of hardwood floors in hotel rooms, as it is a reminder of Motel 6, which I will not stay in. they are cold and uncomfortable, however, I totally understand the economics of using them.
I would stay at this hotel again primarily because of the friendly staff and cleanliness.
