Great position

by 1967WA

Only stayed here one night. The staff were generally friendly. It was great to have a lift instead of lugging our luggage up flights of stairs.
The room had a real stale musky smell about it when we entered which was a real put off.
It was pretty cold in Puno the night we stayed so it was a bit disappointing that the property charged extra for heating!
The room was quiet enough during the night and we didn't hear any of the other guests.
Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am, however nothing was ready and we had a tour booked for 7am, so we only managed a coffee which was pretty good and some toast which seemed to be made of old bread.
The front office looked after our luggage for us while we were on our tour which was nice of them.
I'm not sure what other options are available with the same location in Puno which is the best feature of the property so not sure if we would stay here again.

Good but not worth the money

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is perfectly located, right next to El Parque Pino and the main tourist drag in the city. He staff are helpful but we think they may have tried to overcharge us on our stay by doubling the price of our stay. The breakfast was a buffet style with heaps of choice in terms of cold meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, cereals, yogurts, juices, spreads and drinks. The rooms were ok. Very clean and the bed was very comfy but the door didn't properly shut to the bathroom, the water pressure was iffy and the temperature was unstable. It was also tiny which made showering and a little difficult. They also let us sit around in their lobby after we checked out because our bus wasn't coming until 9:30pm. All in all the hotel is good but not excellent and could do with a few improvements.
