Next to St. Thomas Yacht Club awaits the Elysian Beach Resort. Rooms feature kitchenettes and balconies or decks. Two onsite restaurants specialize in fresh seafood and Caribbean cuisine. The outdoor swimming pool is sure to attract kids of any age. On the beach, there are plenty of activities, like sailing and snorkeling. Elysian’s “Get Out & Play” Program plans activities throughout the day. Tennis courts are on the premises, too. The nearby Red Hook offers a myriad of restaurants and entertainment options.

As my memory serves me well, I visited this beach resort back in November 2015 overnight with one friend. The visit was short yet, sweet and memorable. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. As a lady from the Caribbean, I felt a warm feeling to see an array of handiwork and artifacts exhibiting the island's history and culture. I did not use any amenities other than the a/c and stove. Overall, the living space, rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. I am hoping to experience this resort many more times in the future for a longer period of time.
