Let’s face it – the most disturbing thing to find, when you get to your hotel, are those little ‘indicators’ that housekeeping did not do a thorough cleaning job in the bathroom – and as unmentionable as it is, finding human body hairs stuck on the wall, or in the tub, is precisely what I’m talking about - an immediate, disgusting turn off.

What’s worse is, if you find those the day after you checked in, in the morning when you’re showering – you’ve already committed to sleeping in that room, and who knows what other housekeeping ‘oversights’ you were exposed to.

I’m sad to say that was indeed the case at the Fairfield this morning – and although I’m checking out, it definitely made me not want to return to this particular Oxford area property.

Otherwise, the room was quiet and relatively comfortable – but it’s that knowledge of that less-than-clean bathroom that I just can’t seem to shake. Housekeeping, please ramp up your quality control!

Ugh! Just ugh!

The first room we had needed some TLC but Jennifer helped us and let us change rooms. Breakfast was good fresh fruits. Hotel was very clean, first time I saw a hotel actually steam clean the carpets, that impressed me a lot. Only thing would suggest is a courtyard or benches outside so guests that travel for business can undwine and relax. Overall great stay would come back again.
