Tremendous service by Micaeli

by Kay A

Our reservation had inadvertently been confirmed by Marriott reservations at another location. Micaeli worked diligently to cancel the wrong reservation but needed me to resolve. After the other hotel refused to cancel, Marriott reservations resolved quickly and pleasantly for me. Our two day stay to attend a funeral was attended to by all the staff with both sympathetic and thoughtful gestures.

Sub Par for a Marriott

by paula592015

Checked to be close to a friend and to commute 17.8 miles daily to Portsmouth Va. I came to help get elderly parents homes safe and to assist in Doctor visits.
Checked in late nite with my fully documented service dog a Schichon.
I got up most days & left either before 7am or after 9am to meet contractors.
I placed a DND sign on the door and only wanted clean towels once a week.I awaken early grab coffee and a bread product to take my miagraine meds.

The front desk folks saw me late night and before dawn, I walked my dog and CLEANED up his poop.

This Hotel having worked for Marriott in 1986 was a joke. No local WAVY 10 nEws Channel, during summer storms- no generator and power went out.
I asked for an extended stay rate and was ignored and ignore and over charged.

I tried to stay closer to Portsmouth and the same nasty attitude was given by the Marriott Chesapeake/Suffolk. Amanda whom I spoke to face to face there told me they had no extended stay rooms( a lie ) so I stayed put in the 1560 Crossways Blvd location.

I had had enough when Lexy the the Food and Beverage( No Saniserv Certification posted) actually put her arm out to stop me a paying guest from obtaining a hal/and english muffin on a Saturday @ 6:39 am. Noting that breakfast does not open until 7am.
What a nightmare as this in hospitable employee told me what I could not do.
Never did this employee Lexus have cream for coffee and this employee whose mother works at the front desk runs a circus.

Jamie(front desk) and the overnight front desk lady was nice and told about Bonvoy Membership and points. I worked for Marriott not a Franchise so long ago things have really changed.

Called Marriott Corporate got some patronizing excuse and overpaid to be roused by an employee.

Of course the Hotel has no real internet because they advertise it and they have satelite which is affected by summer heat, winds and storms.

Stay anywhere along this corridor except @ The Marriott Fairfield Inn.Many choices and the manager was not there and then when I did chase her down she just gave me lip service.
