It Was an Oven on Floor 20. No Action Happened, Just Excuses Given. Bad Experience!

by Amy D

We chose this hotel because we are Marriott Bonvoy members and it was close to our meeting at Hudson Yards. When we arrived in our room it had to be 85 degrees in there. We tried to cool it down by turning on the AC, but the AC didn't work. We went down to the desk, and the attendant said "if the temperature outside is 55 degrees or below, the AC does not work. Just turn off the thermostat". We did, but it didn't work so thank goodness the window could be cracked. That helped a little, but then we heard all the NYC sirens and noises all night. When we asked others in the elevator while we were there, they all said it was very hot in their rooms. (and to note, the temp was 50-60 the two days we were there). The front desk said they would send up an Engineer, but all he did was close the window so when we arrived in our room again, it was miserably hot. If it it is 50-60 degrees out, and when your room is on the 20th floor, we should be able to put AC on to make it a comfortable temperature in the room. This experience for two days was in no way worth 612.00.

Perfect for Three Days in NY City

Highlights were the helpful amazing staff in recovering my lost luggage from the metro, the amazing view from the rooftop bar, the excellent location for Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, the clean and comfortable room, and the good full breakfast. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a business or pleasure trip
