Be careful for the scam calls because Fairfield doesn't save your privacy

by doliche

I didn't pay attention when my room's landline rang at 03:30 am at night but it rang again and again until I answered the phone at 03:45 am. A guy introduced himself as the Manager of the hotel and told me that something was wrong with my account. After a while, I noticed that it was a scam. I hanged up the phone and went over to the front desk. I was told that the scammers are randomly calling the guest rooms. Indeed, it was so disappointing to take a scam call in a high-scale global chain hotel. I travel a lot but never experienced such a thing even in a small independent hotel in which you pay a maximum of half of the room rates of Fairfield. After spending 35-40 mins with the scammer and the night clerk I couldn't sleep and the rest of the night was really unpleasant. So, paying more than $400 per night doesn't secure a good night's sleep and you can go to your meetings in the Financial District with sleepy eyes. Or you can feel lucky if you didn't provide your credit card details to the scammers while you were half-sleeping.

Excellent

After reading some of the negative reviews i was hesitant but i shouldnt have been. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location us 10 min walk to wall street subway with lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance.
The breakfasts were superb and the staff amazing so friendly.
The reception has free safety deposit boxes.
The rooms are small but adequate the bed is huge and there is room to store a case beside the mirror. There is a coffee maker which is topped up daily.
Overall a great stay.
