Mothers’ Day is fast approaching– May 9, in case you needed a reminder! — and what mom doesn’t like a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of home life for a little R&R and pampering? If you’d like to whisk away the mother in your life, consider these special deals at some of our favorite family-friendly resorts.

Stage Neck Inn in York Harbor, Maine, is offering a package to pamper mom in May. The Spa Rejuvenation Package provides deluxe oceanfront accommodations, breakfast buffet, gourmet four-course dinner from appetizers to dessert in one of two restaurants overlooking the ocean, plus each adult guest gets their choice of one of four 60-minute treatments, all for $243 to $283 per person, double occupancy.

Moms Stay Free Packages are being offered in a number of resorts, including the Franklyn D. Resort & Spa in Jamaica and Mohonk Mountain House in upstate New York, both of which require at least one paying adult to accompany mom. FDR’s package is available through June 4, with a minimum of three nights stay. Mohonk’s package is offered for stays Sundays through Thursdays in May, and includes a picture frame to save a photo from the trip, a Mohonk Mountain House robe, one spa treatment and a choice of horseback riding, carriage ride, caving or mountain biking activity.

Amelia Island Plantation in Northeast Florida knows how to pamper mom. With the Mother’s Day Weekend Package, rates drop to $219 for Friday night and 50 percent off for Saturday night, while mom gets two breakfasts, a spa treatment, a round of golf, bicycle and a dinner — all free.

Moms get a special thank you at The Greenbrier in Virginia with a Mother’s Day Package starting at $339 per night for a two-night stay between May 7 and 10 and a special, complimentary Mother’s Day brunch, handmade Greenbrier chocolates and a spring bouquet of flowers.

Also discounting the weekend stay is San Diego’s Hotel del Coronado, with rates starting as low as $199 per night. Rates for the all-inclusive Woodloch Pines in the mountains of Pennsylvania start at $350 per adult, with moms receiving a $75 discount, grandmas receiving an $85 discount, and even great-grandmothers getting $100 off. All moms get a $50 gift certificate to the spa, as well.

Across the country, Residence Inns by Marriott will hand out red roses for moms at all of its 588 hotels. The inns can provide a staycation getaway right in your hometown, with accommodations including free breakfast, swimming pools and a welcome place for pets.
