Jungle Paradise

Our time at Gaia went too fast! All the excursions we went on were exceptional, the guides are so knowledgeable and the love and passion shows. Every one of their staff is so lovely, friendly and helpful. I loved sharing stories with them and getting to know everyone. The room was gorgeous, food was amazing, the grounds are so beautiful it seems fake. Can’t wait to go back!

Peace surrounded by nature

My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. We loved it here and could have easily stayed here the entire trip. We loved that it is away from town and truly out among nature. The transfer from the airport was easy. We walked out the door and the first person I saw was our guide Calbert. You can tell a good deal of attention and quality were put into the property and rooms. The waterfalls on site were great and if you want to check out Big Rock waterfall they provide bikes. We did that and it’s a short bike ride from Gaia. If you want to hang out at Gaia all day you want be bored either. There are trails, an organic garden, and the waterfall area is paradise in the forest. My wife and I both feel the food was the best we had on our entire two week trip in Belize. They also offer any excursion pertaining to that area. I had researched the Caracol ruins before the trip and decided that was the ruins I wanted to see. I believe this is the best place to do that trip from because it is closer than any other place that runs the trip from town. Our guide for this excursion was again Calbert. He is very knowledgeable about Caracol and all the unique aspects of the site that you will miss if you don’t have a guide like him. He also showed us around the Rio Frio Cave and Rio On Pools. The service and kindness from the entire staff here was top notch and we felt very welcomed. I highly recommend Gaia Riverlodge and we hope to be back as soon as we can.
