The Grand Bahia Principe Coba rolls out the red carpet for families at this all-inclusive Cancun resort. For instance, the property has special family suites that provide the space and privacy parents desire, plus a number of amenities the kids will love (think kids’ welcome gift and basket of sweets and kids’ mini bar with milkshakes and soft drinks). Then there’s the kids’ water park complete with waterslides, themed swimming pools and enough water features to ensure you get soaked. Kids also will love the activities found at Bahia Scouts, the property’s mini kids’ club. Of course, there’s also the beach, two more swimming pools, a golf course, an opportunity to swim with dolphins, and a spa, not to mention nine restaurants and eight bars.

This place is beautiful let me start with that. We booked through cheap Caribbean which is my go to place to book all my Caribbean vacations. We also had transportation to and from the airport included with our reservation this company was amstar which is beyond amazing with their friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. We arrived to the hotel yes after a 50 minutes ride but the ride was fun as we enjoyed the scenery. We went to the main lobby to check in but because we had book through cheap Caribbean we had to go to the premier lobby for which we received a more personalized service “very Friendly “ our rooms where ready as we arrived and it only took around twenty minutes for us to do our check in and reservations for the restaurants.Yes you do have to do reservations for the a la cart restaurants but they are worth it. We tried the Mexican and Peruvian both where good but Mashua the Peruvian was beyond amazing the service was espectacular, the food was Asian fusion and it was delicious.
The rooms are spacious and we had four double beds and one sofa bed because I had requested two rooms for five adults which made it very comfortable for each of us to have our own little space to sleep. The rooms do get a little muggy when you shower but nothings out cant expect to go away.
The pools are awesome always clean and one with a swim up bar, a more quite one and two more with a swim up bar as well where all the activities happen, plus a kids water park so you will have where to choose from depending on the energy you want to enjoy.
The food was good to me a lot of options I was part of a group of 13 individuals with different taste buds but no major complaints the options are many to choose from at every buffet and restaurant we visited. The only suggestion is when you sit down there is a little wait for the server to take drinks orders and I believe is because you get to choose your own sit instead of been seated.
Staying at the coba you get to have access to the Tulum resort too which is beyond beautiful and the club hacienda is also fun to spend some time.
The resort is very big prepare to walk even though there are carts that transfer you around but they run every 15 minutes sometimes longer . The drivers are always very nice, accommodating and willing to help always.
Overall this was my second time to a Bahia Principe and I will return.
We traveled with a total of 13
Four different family’s
2 - adults
And we all want to go back no complaints at all.
A fourth visit says it all. This time we were upgraded from Coba to their Sian Kaan resort easily accessible using the trolley trains from any of the resorts within Bahia Principe. We were sceptical at first but what an upgrade it was. Adults only. Plenty of alcohol and the food from the buffet restaurant was fantastic and such a choice. We considered coming back within weeks but may wait until later in the year. Plenty of
a le carte restaurants to visit too.
