there has to be better places

Firstly, I want to say the owners were very nice, friendly and helpful - we have no complaints with them. The place is clean, but old and not in great shape. Our unit was close to the road and traffic noise. The bathroom had a small sink and no counter, so no place to put toiletries in the bathroom. The shower was terrible! At least half the water went out the tub faucet and the shower was a strong trickle. The shampoo and shower gel attached to the wall appeared to be the same soap, and didn't work as shampoo, ie. made no suds. The towels were worn and thin. The room had a fridge, but NO coffee! Coffee was available in the office, but only regular (no decaf) and it wasn't hot.
We'd had a long day of driving and were looking forward to kicking back and watching the football game, however the TV did not get networks only streaming services, most that you had to have an account for in order to watch. All in all a very disappointing stay.

Great service with a clean room and hospitable staff. We love every stay at this Motel. Best place to stay in Ithaca. The updates the new owners have made really bring this place to the next level. Lovely watching this Motel get better and better. Bocce ball is a fun addition for the kids
