Excellent hotel for the money!

by Linda B

We chose this hotel on the way back from NY. We stayed with it's neighbor on the way north and it wasn't what we desired I am so glad did! After a very tough drive south, I was greeted by two very nice people. I needed to check in. I had left unclear special needs on my reservation ( totally my fault). They had two rooms available for me and asked me if I wanted to see which ones best fit my husbands needs. The room was very clean, and most important...the actual facility one uses in that room was a proper height! My knees were jumping for Joy! ( alas, there was no way they would be jumping after a 500 mile drive). It seems the newest hotels have invested in lower height, water saving items. Nice Bed, pillows and a comfy chair . The internet speed was slow, but I was able to do what was needed. Went down for to get Tea, Coffee and delicious freshly baked cookies- amazing smell noted when checking it . I did ask about local restaurants and Dustin cleared up a dress code that was incorrect and we could enjoy a lovely steak dinner without needing a jacket. I cannot talk about how wonderful the breakfast was. It was, by far, the best of the last 7 hotels we stayed in on this trip. The two lovely ladies were greeting everyone with a smile and a nice comment. The food service area was kept spotless and the food, very satisfying. The yogurt smoothies were terrific! My husband did break his diet with this breakfast. and I truthfully cant blame him at all.

Santee, SC

The Hampton Inn at Santee, SC was a very pleasant experience for us. The staff was friendly, and very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding area. They recommended a great restaurant, based on our preferences, and told us about some of the sights we might have overlooked otherwise. Not as inexpensive as some of the cheaper places around, but certainly worth what we paid. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
