Reviews

Great location and staff

by SafariKBFamily

Hotel is perfectly located for old city and museums and street life in Jerusalem- very near the music museum which has liver performers on a lovely outdoor square. Front desk staff are friendly and always accommodating and responsive, beyond normal hotel standards.

The breakfast buffet is generous (and always crowded) and a great spread with Israeli and European options. Delicious. The common area more generally in the lobby is spacious and well decorated and very comfortable to hang out in the evenings, nice modern art and design.

The downside was the room - which was tired and needs updating badly (front desk staff said this is coming within the year). Lamp almost fell off the wall, paint and carpet a bit tired, bathroom subpar for the price. It was fine enough and beds comfortable enough...but not up to parity with the rest of the experience or the Atlas brand.

Housekeeping service was also unusually uneven. Sometimes towels and soap and coffee got replenished, sometimes not. We would still happily return, esp once they renovate rooms. Can’t beat the location or the people.

Great location, wonderful staff, needs some renovation..

The Harmony is a very good choice for travelers visiting Jerusalem for the first time, who do not need the comforts of a luxury hotel when most of their time will be spent outside the hotel exploring this amazing city!! The Harmony is very centrally located, and friendly. I am writing this review mainly to thank the exceptional staff at reception--Seevan, Takvor and Hagot. They were extremely attentive, efficient, well-informed and friendly.
On the downside, rooms are quite small with little cupboard space or baggage space, and need to be renovated. There is a lot of street noise in the evening. The ground floor lobby, reception and breakfast room are all in the same space and it is overly crowded at breakfast and happy hour time...
Nevertheless, my experience at the Harmony was overall very positive and I can recommend it in spite of some of its shortcomings.
