Nice place. Poor sleeping conditions

by jimmieo23

My wife and I came here for the Marine Corps marathon. The location is great. Walking distance to some good restaurants and a block from the Metro station. The only complaint I have is in the room. There are green lights on the smoke/ CO detectors that literally light up the room. If you require darkness to sleep this is not your place. I had to hang a towel on them so my wife could sleep.

Great Hotel!

I had never stayed at this hotel before, but the staff were professional, polite, and helpful. The hotel was really clean and the room was well-kept with all the amenities one could ask for. There are several restaurants within walking distance, to include a restaurant and bar on-site if you prefer to dine at the hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Old Alexandria in the future.
