The Historic Powhatan continues the historical Colonial atmosphere with Manor House — a restored landmark building from the 1700s. The resort’s rolling acres of wooded property feature indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, a pavilion, a vibrant playground and several hiking trails. Families can stay in three-bedroom units with private balconies, washer/dryer units, lofts and hot tubs. Modern rooms are equipped with DVD players, air conditioning and coffeemakers. One- and two-bedroom suites are also available. Rooms are colorful with sitting areas and fireplaces. A couple of onsite restaurants offer American and International dishes for all meals. A game room, miniature golf course and gift shop are onsite. Offsite, families can spend a fun-filled day at the nearby Busch Gardens. Colonial Williamsburg is three miles away.

We have stayed here for the past 9 years and were very pleased with the resort, units and service. This year however, we were not very pleased with our unit. The living room furniture was old and not inviting to sit on w/o putting a sheet over it first. The ice machine did not work in the refrigerator, the pots and pans were mismatched.. It's like things were just thrown together. Dining room table was old, dented and looked like they just picked it up from somewhere and the chairs did not go with it and were too low at the table. Place didn't seem as Clean as in the past. Not pleased at all with the living condition. Plus, the fee went up and nothing was added to justify it. The location, grounds, pool, and service were still good.
Great place to vacation with family with a lot of nice amenities and events to keep you occupied. Our experience with Wifi is not good though, very slow. Other than that we've had a very pleasant stay.
