Our ‘Home base’ while at historic triangle

by LVPADad

Hotel room was spacious (2doubles with sofa bed), sink/vanity was separate from toilet/tub area so helped for multiple people getting ready, loved fridge (had mini freezer on top not just a little section inside fridge. Room was a little worn, some water stains on ceiling in bathroom, etc. otherwise clean. Breakfast was good, good variety. Pool was closed but was able to use Residence Inn pool next door which was nice, but more convenient if on site. Hotel is next door to Chili’s, Applebee’s, and country store with ice cream and souvenirs all walkable connected to parking lot. Other things across street too and along Richmond Rd there so easy access.

Large, rather outdated rooms in a conveniently located hotel

by 1693cynthiat

I stayed in the SpringHill Suites on Richmond Road while I was in Williamsburg for a conference. The location was very convenient to the College of William and Mary, and the room was pretty quiet since the hotel is set back a bit from busy Richmond Road. The front desk staff were very friendly -- they were probably the highlight of the stay. The room itself was very large, which was nice, but it was fairly outdated in terms of furnishings; it could definitely use some touching up. The caulk around the tub in the bathroom was thick and peeling badly. I wasn't able to try the complimentary breakfast since the breakfast room was taken over by what appeared to be at least 3 school groups, but it appeared that there was a large variety of breakfast items available.
