We attened a family reunion the weekend of 8/10-11/2016 and I must say the hotel was top notch. from my check in through my check out. The room was nicely appointed and had , as it's used for longer term stays, some of the basic items you may have forgotten (mine was a bottle opener). The kitchen and living areas were roomy and pleasant and the sleeping, bath and dressing area were well lighted and clean. Kudo for the super water pressure in the shower. I suspect they have a pump to increase the water pressure.
While you expect host personnel to be friendly the maintenance and custodial staff that worked there were exceptionally delightful.
The breakfast in the canteen area had fresh fruits and an expanded selection of choices for any traveler and was constantly be cleaned and the food stock refilled. Their Coffee is FANTASTIC.
If I'm in the Williamsburg area again this is my "go to" place.
You will not be disappointed.
This is a nice hotel, but unfortunately, people use it as a dog kennel. Instead of leaving the dogs home when they go on vacation, they take the dogs with them and lock them in the rooms all day. It is cruelty toward animals. I guess it is cheaper to pay a pet deposit and leave the dogs in the rooms all day unattended. There were 4 labs in the room across from us.. They people ate breakfast at 8am, left for the day and returned at 1130 pm. We had toddlers to bring back for naps the barking was out of control. I can imagine the pets are urinating and defecating in the rooms. The hotel has gone to the dogs...so, I would classify this hotel as a kennel that allows owners to sleep with their pets.More
