Visit to the Berkshires

What a horrible stay - the combination of uncaring staff, noisy room, spotty internet service, over heated gym, keys that did not work - just made for a very uncomfortable, and unpleasant stay. Only positive was the convenient location to museums and dining.

Comfortable Central Hotel

As a Spire Elite traveller I stay in a lot of IHG hotels and this proved to be pretty standard. The room was large and well equipped and both it and the bathroom were clean. We ate in the Richmond Grille at the hotel which was excellent with a good menu and really good food. Sheila was our server and she epitomised excellent service with unobtrusive but attentive service and she just wine that extra mile. Check out staff were pretty much disinterested ....
