Overview

If you’re nervous about visiting the City of Lights and staying with a hotel brand in which you are unfamiliar, the Holiday Inn provides the trusted American brand within minutes of Paris’ most visited attractions. Along with the brand loyalty, guests will enjoy the same perks as they do in the States: kids stay and eat free, and Wi-Fi is free for IHG Rewards Club members. (It’s free to enroll, so if you aren’t a member, enroll to save on the 12 euro daily Wi-Fi fee.) Guest rooms and suites provide large accommodations, with suites featuring separate living and sleeping space and kitchenettes. The apartment-like suite accommodations within steps of Notre Dame make this a worthy property for families to consider when traveling to Paris. Onsite dining is also available at Le Quarante Trois, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a rooftop terrace for warm summer nights.

Disappointing hotel

by anne A

I stayed here for a business trip recently and was underwhelmed. The positives are the location and the staff was good. However, the quality of the room was not great. First, there was no where to unpack my clothes, aside from a few hangers in a small closet. The cushions on the weird purple sofa did not fit properly and the sofa was tired. The decorations in general were quite dated. In addition, my window was broken did not shut completely, which meant the room was cold and very noisy. The bathroom was fine, but small and there was no place to put my toiletries. I was in an executive room, and it did not seem to be an executive room at all. In sum, not the best experience based on previous Holiday Inn stays

Outdated rooms and subpar customer service

I've had a good experience at a different Holiday Inn branch in Paris so I decided to try this area. I also booked the more pricey room boasting of a view of the Eiffel tower. Turns out that was the only thing good about it (the breakfast was good too).

While the balcony and its view were nice, the room, especially the bathroom, was outdated. The towels were small and old (very thin). There are no slippers and the floor felt a bit dusty. The shower wasn't very strong.

In addition, we left a couple of items and we never heard back despite being reassured that we will (we called a couple of times and sent an email). We called the same day we left as soon as we realized that we were missing the items. They weren't very expensive but we would have liked to retrieve them even if we have to pay for shipping and service. Check-in and checkout were fine but when we asked to leave our luggage and borrow umbrellas we were asked to wait for a few minutes while the lady took her time stapling some papers. We noticed she treated the white man who asked for the same things quite differently.

It was not a very good experience, I do not recommend this hotel.
