Guests at Holiday Inn Washington love the proximity to museums, monuments and the Metro. Rooms and suites at the hotel offer complimentary Internet access, refrigerators, flat-screen televisions and triple-sheeted beds. Cribs are available on request. Capitol Bistro and 21st Amendment Bar & Grill are restaurants offering a sit-down dining experience. A Starbucks and a Shuttle Express Deli are grab-n-go dining options at the hotel. Kids eat free at the hotel. A seasonal rooftop pool offers views of the U.S. Capitol. From Holiday Inn, families can easily get to the World War II Memorial. The Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum is a family favorite with plenty of interactive displays. It’s only a block away from the hotel, as is the L’Enfant Plaza Metro.

We visited DC for a short weekend vacation for my 11 year old to get some culture :)
This was a nice clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size.
There were two restraurants in the hotel One was a sports bar. Food was ok.
The only downfall to this hotel was location in terms of food and shopping. This side of the mall has virtually no restraurants (only McDs) and no shopping. If you want a quite location, great, When museums close down at night, you are left with nothing on this side of the mall. Even the CVS next to the hotel doesn't open on Sundays.
We ventured to the other side of the Mall one evening and it was hopping, with lots of choices for food and entertainment.
We were happy with our stay and would visit again with better planning for food and shopping.

Good place to stay in washington, with an amazing breakfast and an excellent localization. Bad point: we stayed in a lower level and it was very noisy because of L'enfant Train Station, placed behind our bedroom.
WC are old and the shower is fixed to the wall.
An advice: never stay in the north side, close to the train station.
