A beautiful place to stay

by catherinesarah60

We stayed at the end of August and had a wonderful relaxing time. The staff are extremely professional and friendly , the views over the Bay of Naples looking at Mount Vesuvius at all times of the day but especially at night were stunning. Very good food and local wines .
We will return to the Bristol

The most breathtaking location, and the kindest staff on earth.

This beautiful hotel has been the absolute favourite of my daughter and I since we has our first :Girly:long weekend there in September last year. So perfect was it that we returned again this year, and what began as a :one off: looks very much like becoming an annual event. It is impossible to highlight the good points, as everything about it is fabulous, from the luxurious ritzy feel of everywhere with deep comfy classy upholstery, and elegant decor(if you are into white leather and stainless steel this is definitely not for you), to the beautiful italian tiles on the floor to the glorious enormous sun terrace with its tropical plants and comfy loungers. From every point in the hotel ,be it the garden with its lemon trees ,and the huge refreshing blue pool, the dining room, bar and every bedroom you will have the most breathtaking and perfect view in Sorrento of the lovely Bay of Naples. So beautiful is this, that some times you really do have to tear yourself away, to visit the many other wonderful sights that this our favourite part of Italy has on its doorstep. The breakfast buffet is second to none, with hot food, eggs ,bacon and so on cooked to order, and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries, and a glorious array of fresh fruit, the peaches were the best Ive ever eaten.Dinner is a real occasion,as the dining room is so elegant with crisp white cloths ,and you will be showed to a table by a tuxedoed Maitre D''.All sorts of anti pasti is served buffet style, with a la carte choices for starter, main and dessert,What ever you chjoose will be especially prepared so arrives at the table piping hot, traditional and absolutely delicious Italian food, superbly prepared using the finest quality ingredients. We enjoyed everything from duck a i'orange, to entrecote steak, and the finest seafood and fish.We were never tempted to dine out, as I am sure that finer food in a lovelier setting with more glorious views could be found anywhere. However, I would like to mention now the Bristols most important and very special asset, the generous, warm kind and genuinely caring staff We have always had nothing but admiration for them, but never more than this year, when we arrived at the hotel to find that my daughters suitcase was not on the transfer coach. The driver was totally unhelpful and we were beginning then to feel rather uneasy, when up stepped dear Salvatore, our knight in shining armour, and saved the day.He took the matter completely out of our hands, calmly telling us that he would get to the bottom of it.,To cut a long story short, the very careless driver had not put it on the coach in the first place, but left it in the middle of the coachpark at Naples Airport where some very kind person(thankyou so very much whoever you are) had handed it to TUI. so alls well, that ends well, thanks to dear kind Salvatore, who like the rest of the staff never think twice if they think they can help. Our sincere and very grateful thanks to all our friends at this magnificent place, to the owner for his kindness and concern,to Vincenzo and Gaetano, for their warmth and fun. If you are thinking of visiting Sorrento the Bristol hotel truly has everything, charm, style and the most generous hospitality. We cant wit to return. God Bless you and thankyou. Ann and Emma Clark.
