At the Hotel Grand Pacific, you’ll not only enjoy adult favorites like luxurious spa treatments, a cocktail lounge, and live music every weekend: you’ll find perfect-for-families amenities and activities too. Whether it’s the array of board games and puzzles to borrow, the kid-sized pool (there’s also a 25-meter lap pool), the check-in “goodie bag” for kids, the duck-feeding time, or the personalized mini-bar where you can pre-order a fridge filled with juice, snacks, and fresh chocolate chip cookies, it’s safe to say that nobody will be feeling left out during your stay.
Location-wise, the hotel is similarly successful in its family appeal: the Inner Harbour property is close to the Bug Zoo, National Geographic iMax theatre, Royal BC Museum, and more. Plus, Victoria’s restaurant and shopping district is a mere two blocks away. And, of course, the beautiful views of the harbor and fresh sea breeze will make you want to spend plenty of time on your private balcony.
At the onsite Pacific Restaurant, you’ll find a great kids’ menu–and afternoon hunger can be satisfied by the “West Coast Kid’s Tea,” featuring scones, fruit, grilled cheese, and other light snacks, plus hot drinks or custom-made “tea soda pops.” (Don’t worry–an adult tea is available too, so enjoy it as a family!) For coffee, tea, baked goods, smoothies, and snacks, head to the Courtyard Cafe. Finally, if you want a late-night snack or early-morning breakfast brought to you, there are in-room dining options readily available — including popcorn for family movie night! If you’d rather make your own, note that microwaves and fridges are available on request for an additional fee.

Always find the rooms clean and comfortable. I know that here I can simply relax and enjoy my time there. Even enjoyed the hot tub this time round. Only disappointment was an elevator out of service while there was a hockey team staying at the hotel also.

I have stayed at this hotel before and it is very good...the most recent trip was over the top excellent. They have great food and amenities (a 25 metre pool and large gym) and of course right on the water...so that's great BUT on top of that they have amazing staff. The one thing that also sets them apart is that when something doesn't go exactly as it should, they deal with it...they need to teach Air Canada a few things about customer service!
