Nice hotel, conveniently placed

by argy10

This was a 10-20 minute walk (depending how quickly you can walk and how much luggage you have) from the bus station where we were dropped off after going to Victoria from Vancouver. We were given a warm welcome at reception and were helped to get our luggage to our room which was very nice with views over the bay, and our room was well positioned to watch the sunset. It is convenient for all amenities, being a 10-15 minute walk from the harbour where you go for whale watching, the information centre, the bus for Butchart Gardens and the city centre shops and restaurants.
The restaurant was very nice, with good, if a little pricey, food in the evening. We didn’t have breakfast.
Nice room, wifi, comfy bed, good views, friendly staff – what more can I say?
Actually, one thing – walking with your luggage from the bus station you encounter steps as you reach the hotel. Only 3 or 4, but difficult all the same with luggage or if you were disabled. An accessible access slope would help.

10 star Inn on the ocean

by Patti M

We stayed here because all proceeds after staff are paid go to charities within the community of Victoria BC.
The staff all were amazing Everyone loved their jobs and treated you like family. Very professional but very happy! Out of all the places we have stayed over the years the atmosphere, staff, food, uniqueness was terrific in ever way! Our bed was king size & extremely comfortable. I have back issues but felt like I was sleeping in our own bed at home! Our room # 446 -> 4th floor faced the ocean with a small patio. The room was always spotless big and lots of room. The best thing ever is the fact you control the heat, fan or open a patio door yourself for comfort!
Quiet and perfect is how we would rate this gem of a place. Would be return, you bet! We stayed here because we were running the Victoria Marathon, which happened to be a 5 minute walk to the start line and 3 minute walk from the finish line to the Inn. We ran right past the Inn at the end & enter to the cheering of staff!
The breakfast we had was the best slow cooked oatmeal ever! Dinner was also amazing food staff and sitting next to the ocean! Situated in the downtown Victoria Harbour, ocean setting to all the city amenities. If you are a walker or runner you can hop on the ocean path right 1 minute away from your room and go for a 10-15 km walk around the ocean to Beacon Park, see where the Herons nest in the tall trees?
Cant wait to return!
