Fantastic stay

by Ziv D

Just returned home after a fabulous week at this hotel. I travel a lot, and have stayed in many great hotels around the world...this hotel is certainly in my top five.
Quiet relaxed atmosphere, fantastic service (special mention to Hasan from the bar/dining room team), and amazing fresh food. The room was clean, the grounds and pool were spotless, and everything was just perfect. Will definitly go there again. Thank you for a lovely experience !

50/50!

My husband and I spent a week here in September, first impressions were very good, beautiful, well kept hotel grounds and very clean however as we were led to our room this slightly changed as there were trays of left over room service on the floor, a random fold up mattress with used cutlery on it , not to mention a lot of flies hovering given the good weather! Room was OK, quite small and not very well equipped and the balcony could only really fit one person and overlooks a normal residential street so not the best! Also the balconies are very close together so no privacy at all, the chair on our balcony was also broken so my husband had to do a little DIY! The next morning we left to go down to breakfast and the room service trays (same as the ones yesterday) mattress and cutlery was still there and also starting to smell quite a bit which was quite unpleasant! I think they laid there until possibly our 3rd day when finally somebody bothered to take them away but they reappeared again following what must have been another order and again staff took ages to take them away, I think I even called reception to alert them as it felt like our block was quite forgotten! Another thing to mention is there are no facilities in the room to make a coffee and the mini fridge is stacked with the normal mini bar items- we ended up having to remove everything so we could at least place our milk and water in there and we brought a kettle from the supermarket across the road! On a more positive note, the half board breakfast and dinner Buffet was always well presented and tasty with enough options each day to not get bored- the choice is not huge but it’s enough. The waiting staff are also very sweet and attentive. Overall, I would definitely like to visit Bodrum again but I don’t think I would revisit Hotel Zeytinada out of curiosity I checked prices for next next year and they have quadrupled since we visited averaging at 800PP and I can honestly say that the max I would pay would be 300PP. Another thing, on one of the days it was a little overcast so we used the indoor spa facilities, as we walked in there are 2 children (the owners I believe) playing noisy games on iPads so it wasn’t the most relaxing and the jacuzzi was freezing cold! Not the best but not the worst overall but I would probably book somewhere else next time,
