Reviews

Worst experience ever

by Jasmine L

Booked this room for a very special occasion. I was proposing to my girlfriend at dinner and booked this room for afterwards. Spoke to two employees a week in advance to make sure everything moved smoothly. Employee or owners at desk was very rude and unhelpful on the day of my proposal. Room was paid for already. Threw hotel key on counter instead of handing it to me. Very rude employees. Would not recommend this hotel to nobody.

I'm not really sure how this place received such glowing reviews. Maybe I have standards -- like cleanliness -- that make my expectations out of reach. If you like other peoples' hair on the bathroom floor before you've even used the bathroom, then this is the place for you. The rooms are updated, but the bathrooms are loaded with mildew, stained tiles, chipping tubs, and sub-par fixtures. When the room door was closed, you could see daylight around the door. Ugh. And when I took a shower (upon a late evening arrival and not doing much except going straight to bed), my feet turned the water shower black. I wore tennis shoes the entire day as I was driving and only walked around in the room just a bit before taking a shower -- so clearly the floors hadn't been cleaned. When my daughter pulled back her sheets, she found hair all over her bed sheets. Ugh again. If it hadn't been late, we would have switched rooms but we just wanted to fall asleep so we could get out of there as soon as possible. Typically, we would have stayed elsewhere but we had to wait to book this night (on our way to the Florida panhandle) so it was slim pickings. Check-in was painful -- I wanted to jump over the counter and help her with it. Pretty sure I could have done it faster even without knowing how. I can't comment on the breakfast because we chose to eat elsewhere after spending the night here. We will never stay here again.
