Amazing and Peaceful Family Fun

by Alisha S

We stayed in Rumah Sumatra with our 2 kids, aged 3.5 and 9.5. The space was beautiful - the garden and pool are just as pictured, with large sliding windows that make you feel like you are outside all the time. While there were other guests, we never saw them. The grounds were beautiful, as were the staff. Bagus and Putu took us on a walk our first day down to the nearby river, and also drove us to the Ailing Ailing water fall. The food was excellent and plentiful. Komang was so helpful. The grounds include a fish pond, playground, chickens and pigs.

A few keys that made it extra special for our family: The pool was great for our 3.5 year old - about 1/3 of the pool was shallower where he could stand, but the rest was deeper for jumping. They have a water cooler in the house, which was so much better than all the plastic bottles we were provided at other accommodations. The staff was just so helpful and friendly - although you find that all over Bali in my experience.
We will be back to this part of North Bali, and Indo Rumah Zengarden!

Relaxing jungle paradise

by 123k8

We stayed for two nights at Rumah Cantik, the smallest boutique style villa on the property up in the middle of a huge garden.
The owners definitely care about their environment and the eco nature of the villas and gardens and Kim provided us a guided tour of the beautifully landscaped gardens around and in between which the villas sit.
We were even offered an upgrade to one of the other large villas however Rumah Cantik was a good size for us. The amenities are with an up-to-date bedroom and bathroom and small private pool..however the beauty for us was the cute boutique style outside area were we dined and relaxed day and evening.
Having a private evening massage in the tranquility and calm oasis with just the jungle and local sounds was pure relaxation.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all included and prepared on order and bought to our villa all of which were excellent.
Komang is a fantastic cook everything was full of flavor and delicious. Hands down her Balinese pancakes and coconut black rice (Bali breakfast) were the best we have had in Bali (I would face the 2.5 hour drive just to taste these again!)
We also had a cooking lesson where we made our dinner of Gado Gado with peanut sate.
The staff Kim, Zammin et all are friendly, devoted and attentive and make you feel right at home.
The location and the villa definitely are a relaxing jungle paradise and a great break from the hustle bustle of Bali beach life
Highly recommended!
