This resort slightly exceeded my expectations. It’s not as outdated as what some of the reviews indicated. Maybe we just arrived after they’ve done some renovations.
Check-in was pretty easy. Friendly front desk staff. We had a 1st floor 2 bedroom ocean front unit. It’s true that you have to go to the concierge who would try and schedule you for timeshare presentations and for you to get your parking pass. She wasn’t pushy really, just doing her job.
Property looks well maintained and clean. Beds were very good. Very comfy to sleep in. Sofa bed is comfy for 1 adult person but not 2. Probably 2 kids it would be ok. So for a 2 bedroom, I would say it can accommodate 6 but can comfortably sleep 5 adults. There’s a full kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, oven/range and fridge with pots, pans, plates etc. and unit includes a washer and dryer. They provide a couple of detergents and dish washing liquid and dish washer pods that they replenish on cleaning day. Units were fresh, clean and a/c did it’s job. Both rooms and living room has sliding doors that walk out to the ocean front.
They have a couple of hammocks to relax in just a few steps away from our unit. I wish we could have stayed longer so we could have enjoyed the resort more in between our excursions.
We were there 5 nights and cleaning was on a Tuesday. Can’t remember if they said that the 2nd cleaning was on a Friday or Saturday. Cleaning staff were very friendly, accommodating and provided very good service.
Check-out was swift and no issues. We will surely return if we visit Kauai again.
This resort is very convenient, relaxing, clean place to stay. The rooms are condos so we had a full kitchen, bedroom, livingroom, washer and drier, and bathroom.
The grounds are very well taken care of. The property goes right up to the ocean. It's not a snorkeling or swimming water there, as the currants are unstable, but about a mile down the road is a great park to snorkel at.
It's about a mile from 2 large grocery stores and drug stores.
The restaraunt is very highly rated and we had a really nice anniversary dinner, and then sal out by the pool, which has a waterfall, with a glass of wine and enjoyed the moonlight. The pool waterfall is awesome on the neck and shoulders for a cheap massage! There is also a hot tub, and a kiddie pool.
Games, hammocks, sand box, etc. are available for any guests use.
A pool-side café sells drinks, lunch. snack, and appetizers.
From the shore line we enjoyed several of the sunrises, each one different.
