Clean, cool, 2 blocks to terrific snorkeling, responsive host, spacious, pool - A-plus.
Dishwasher, deck, towels of all types, A/C if desired, cooler, comfortable, big television, and that sums it up.

A place for snorkelers

by TmarkBosley

just made our 3rd stay at the Kona Seaspray, and we'll be doing a 4th stay in the not too distant future.

We love snorkeling--and so being right on Kahaluu Bay is really important. I skip the South entrance in the park--too many people. I enter Kahaluu from the gravel beach on the North side-this is maybe 75 yards from the Seaspray.
From there you can quickly get to the middle of the bay, where the coral seems to be quite healthy. It is really nice to walk back to the unit, use the shower on the side of the unit and then relax in the Seaspray's pool and not have to get into a rental car.

One day during our stay, we took a day trip up to the public access beach at the 4 Seasons. The units seemed set back and recessed into each other--from the outside it looked like they could be somewhere in Florida.
It stuck me how different staying at the Seaspray,
where I step out on the balcony looking out over Kahaluu bay first thing in the morning and for sunset
and many times thru the rest of the day. The view is beautiful and the woodwork in the unit we had is beautiful.

The unit we stayed in had frig, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
We intended to cook dinner in the unit, but Sam Choy's at nearby Keauhou Center (and others)....
But we did do breakfast everyday sitting on the balcony.

The Seaspray is on the very southern end of Alii Drive on the coast, there is some traffic, but I didn't find it bothersome.
