This is a hotel that doubles as an apartment. Do not stay across from 139. You will be subjected to the offensive smell of cigarettes lingering in the hallway. The residents who we later learned are LIVING there enter and exit wearing pajamas at all times of day as they stand in the entrance to smoke their cigarettes. I admittedly prefer to stay at nicer hotels but in this case I accept the options available because hotels sell out a year in advance for U of I events . However even a supposed 2 star hotel should have a standard of decency. The hotel was sold out and could not accommodate a room change. Which meant smelling cigarette smoke all weekend plus a general feeling of itchiness each day as I encountered the tenants at least 1 time each day in their unkempt state of undress. The hallway in front of their APARTMENT and the door to their unit is filthy as well. Never again. PS....this was our 3rd year in a row at this very hotel because they allowed us to reserve the year before. Not next year.....

Friendly and efficient check in. Room was small but clean and comfortable. It was also renovated. Breakfast room was very small and had a minimum number of choices. Well located with easy access. Probably would stay again.
