Overview

Nestled on a hilltop and surrounded by tropical forests, La Jardin Malanga is close to Carbet Falls and offers both traditional hotel rooms in a former plantation house and individual cottage-style accommodations. All are equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, mini-refrigerators, iPod docking stations and safes. Cottages have two bedrooms and furnished terraces with panoramic views. Cribs are available upon request.

The hotel has a swimming pool and sun deck area with umbrellas, loungers and beach towels available for guest use, and there are several hiking trails that lead to Carbet Falls. In the plantation house, there is a common area with a small library. There’s also an onsite restaurant that is open for breakfast daily, as well as dinner by reservation, and serves authentic, local cuisine. Picnic dinners are available as well. The ferry dock is within walking distance, making it easy to access the rest of Guadeloupe. Parking and Wi-Fi are offered free of charge.

Reviews

Nice stay, great view.

by HazelandPieter

The highlight of this hotel was the view from our room, due to its hilltop location, just stunning!! The hotel also has a stunning infinity pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. We found the facilities a little basic for a 4 star hotel, v limited wardrobe space for our clothes, no tea/coffee making facilities in our room, v basic towel provision. Cleaning was satisfactory, but we really felt lacking an attention to detail for 4 star standard, e.g. the single glazed feature wall in our bedroom could have been spotlessly clean, and deck chairs without the falling tree debris. The breakfast was tasty, good quality, but v basic in choice, lots of French pastry and bread, 1 shop bought yogurt, a serving of tropical fruit, and your choice of eggs. Also v limited drink choices by the bar at the pool.

small hotel in beautiful setting. very relaxing stay. nice breakfast without typical breakfast buffet. expertly prepared dinner. You need car there. Hotel is 3 star but service is 5 stars. Clare genuinely cares about guests.
