Stunner on Grace Bay Beach!

by stingley23

OMG we loved our stay at Le Vele! This was our 4th visit to Turks & Caicos, our fave island in the Caribbean. We love the gorgeous turquoise waters, the welcoming and fun locals, the weather, the food...everything. This was our first stay at Le Vele and we will always return. Clayton and his staff are gracious and make sure your experience will be fantastic. We really enjoyed the intimate, peaceful vibe of this place. Unlike so many of the large, sprawling resorts here packed with people, Le Vele has only 20 or so rooms, all right on Grace Bay Beach! Our suite was very well appointed, very private and we could choose to lounge on the wide, beautiful (always uncrowded) beach or the enormous infinity pool. The grounds are very well maintained as well with lush tropical landscaping. We liked the fact that there's no bar or restaurant here since it kept things tranquil, and there's tons of great dining and drinking options just a short walk away. If you come to Turks, you have to stay at Le Vele!

Fabulous vacation

We really stumbled across this place when our usual preferred spot "Seven Stars" was sold out. We chose Le Vele as it is just up the beach from SS where friends were staying so we thought we could just walk up. In the end we spent most of our time at Le Vele, only going up the beach for dinner (there are no restaurants at Le Vele). Its an absolutely charming oasis. We had a huge ground floor 2 bed suite on the West side (W103 I think). The kids loved it as they could come and go from the patio to the beach and pool. Our friends from 7* were pretty jealous. We had a full size extravagantly equipped kitchen so we also cooked several times. Quite frankly the peace and ease of getting sun loungers etc (which can occasionally be a scrum at 7*) far outweighs the access to bars etc at 7* to which we could easily stroll up the beach for. Just lovely and we will be back.
