The Lodge at Riverside is located on the banks of the Rogue River in downtown Grants Pass, and walking distance to Hellgate jet boat excursions. The hotel has a rustic chic vibe to it with a log cabin motif and outdoor patio area. Complimentary extras include a full breakfast, evening wine and cheese reception, and fresh-baked cookies. The hotel offers 33 oversized guestrooms and suites, most with balconies or patios facing the river. Best rooms for families come in a double queen configuration, or the two-room Master Suite with a king bed, living room with queen sofa bed, and dining area. Rooms include a mini-fridge and coffeemaker, and microwaves are available on request. Rollaways, free cribs, and connecting rooms are also available on request. The seasonal outdoor pool, set in a landscaped setting, overlooks the Rogue River and has a pool bar. Kids 12 and under stay free. Look for packages that include white water rafting.

Our room was lovely, and they upgraded us on arrival to a river view. It was clean, quiet, fine breakfast. We drove 150 miles for a dr appointment, but forgot to inquire about a medical rate at this hotel, as we assumed they would have one. Our dr. rotates from Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass offices, and in Ashland, Medford and other lodging in Grants Pass, the hotels have a substantial price reduction when you're in town for a dr appointment. This hotel has some reduction at a few offices, however not all of them.
We happened upon the Lodge at Riverside by accident. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed there again on our return trip from Crater Lake. Small lodge, good breakfast, right on the river. Walking distance to good restaurants. Spacious rooms, evening wine bar and hot cookies. Lovely pool area over looking the river. We loved it!
