Beautiful, low-key elegance with great food and drinks!

This is a lovely hotel just outside of the city center (it's very walkable, or the front desk will call a taxi for you) that retains its old-world elegance (it used to be a tannery, and feels hundreds of years old) with all of the modern amenities. I loved the attention to detail - everywhere you looked there were gorgeous fresh flowers and at night candles on the staircases set a romantic, mellow mood. The food in the rooftop restaurant is outstanding - I ate breakfast there every morning (fresh juices so good) and dinner there (the fish of the day- yum) - everything was delicious, but make sure to order a margarita with mescal and the pepper/salt on the rim. You will feel well cared for by the amazing and attentive staff. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Superb little gem

Great service, charming property and very comfortable rooms with great location just a few blocks to the heart of Oaxaca. I’d recommend it to anyone. They also have a restauran in the rooftop which makes great typical fare, we had breakfast and few times and was great every time.
