I stayed here for Stagecoach weekend, and wouldn't do it again unfortunately. The property itself is BEAUTIFUL! Nice golf course, lots of pools, and a lot of daily activities. Unfortunately when we booked it stated we had a "Villa". Well the Villa, was actually only half of the villa. It had one bed and a couch and a mini kitchen, and a mini fridge. We had five guests staying in our room, which left one on the floor. We also had coolers filled with hundreds of dollars of food to cook throughout the weekend, which went to waste. I will say, the male bartender Ruben? at the restaurant bar by the main desk was very nice. I was emotional because I felt the birthday weekend would be ruined because of this room incident. He picked up on my feelings and was very genuine and personable. Offered to talk if I needed it. Also the male bartender at the pool (Brian? Chris?) did a fantastic job.
On top of everything the room itself was dirty. I drove back to the front desk to show them how unacceptable it was. Apparently it was Coachella the weekends before so they trashed the rooms and partied too hard. The sheets in the pull out were dirty. The patio was coated in dirt, and our patio ground was covered in hardened throw up. When the housekeeper came she couldn't get it off either, and was super apologetic. She tried really hard, and the smell when she got it wet again was unbearable. She said usually the housemen do it, but they were all gone for the day.
Definitely not a place Mr Marriott would be proud of or stay in himself at that!
The Villas at The Shadow Ridge Village is a good time place. Great service and very comfortable living quarters. Our room had a view overlooking the golf course. We enjoyed our stay and will look forward to a return visit in the near future.
