Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Targets Families

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has always attracted advanced, hardcore skiers with expert terrain. In recent years, however, the resort has drawn a new crowd: families.

The ski resort has widened trails and removed stumps, rocks and brush to create smooth terrain for less-advanced skiers. The Teton Lift, scheduled to open within the next few months, will take riders to those areas, which cover approximately 50 acres.

Onsite day care services have also been added to the mix, with full- and half-day rates available to children between 6 and 36 months of age. Other kid-specific programs at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort include ski and snowboard lessons (divided by age group) and Kids Night Out, a babysitting service.

Slopeside accommodations have improved in the name of family friendliness as well, with pools (and outdoor hot tubs) offered at the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Hotel Terra Jackson Hole and Snake River Lodge & Spa.

Overall, the area itself is more accessible than it once was, too, with upgrades and more flights added to Jackson Hole Airport.
