New owners and a major renovation in the fall of 2012 have re-configured rooms to be more accommodating to families. In additional to 125 traditional rooms, suites and houses with full kitchens are available. Located in the village, about 15 minutes from Jackson, the Snake River Lodge offers complimentary valet parking and Wi-Fi. An indoor and outdoor pool and spectacular view of the Jackson Hole Mountain make the spa a popular destination for locals as well. Cribs are provided at no charge and each room has a mini-fridge and microwave. The Gamefish Restaurant is the best place in the region for breakfast.

Perfect property minutes from Grand Teton National Park.Grab a class of wine and head to a seat beside the fire.

Gorgeous rooms, lobby, spa, pool, and outdoor fire pits. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. All of the front desk staff made us feel at home, and Judy could not have been kinder. Could not have been a better experience!

Decent hotel with poor/mediocre service

Our experience here was a mixed bag with a bad ending. The rooms are nice size and fairly up to date in terms of renovations. The bathrooms are also nicely appointed with a separate toilet room (wife appreciated this...). The bathtub/shower is a ridiculous honeymoon suite jacuzzi monstrosity that you have to climb into. If you have an injury or mobility issues, this could be a major problem.

We were disappointed that the only option for breakfast was a buffet ($25-30/person, don't recall). We ended eating at other restaurants every day. Sometimes you just want a sandwich or an omelet... I wanted to order food at the pool but none of phones were working and there were no servers to be found so I went to the bar to order. The Kobe, Elk, Buffalo chili was pretty hearty but indistinguishable from regular chili.

The pool area and spa area are pretty awesome. My wife and I got 60 minute massages @ the spa ($145 each with a REQUESTED 20% tip...). The massage was good but both of noted it was 5 minutes shorter than it should have been. When I tried to tip $20, I was asked to increase it to 20%... If they are charging customers $145, I would hope the masseuses are being paid a decent wage.

The cleaning staff were always pleasant, proficient and professional when we interacted with them. We were fairly underwhelmed with the front desk staff. They were not very knowledgeable about the area restaurants or things to do in the area.

Check out was a train wreck for us. We could not get an Uber/Lyft and tried to call the front desk several times, but every time we tried to call, the line was busy. This was the case for any line that we tried. The phones weren't working. We got to the front desk 15 minutes later and were told the soonest a taxi could get there would be 25-30 minutes. It took 35 minutes. We were not informed that there was construction on the way to the airport which delayed things further by 35 minutes. With the combination of not being able to get a prompt taxi service and the construction, we arrived to the airport 15 minutes before our flight which was too late to check our bags so we missed our flight. All of the rest we built up on our vacation was washed away as we ended up getting home at 3 AM instead of 9 PM due to our missed flight. We emailed management of the hotel to make them aware of this situation, but never received a response. Maybe they will read this... We will stay elsewhere the next time we visit Jackson and will be avoiding Newport Hotel group locations even though we live in New England.
