Pricey but great location

by Helen W

We visited here at the very end of the season and there were very few people in the hotel or indeed in the town. We stayed for two nights and then returned for one night a few days later. The rooms were warm and inviting and had plenty of sockets for recharging devices. The only minor complaint was that the lighting was very subdued in both rooms, we struggled to look at maps and couldn’t read a book. The breakfast was outstanding with a very wide choice and helpful and attentive staff. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first evening and the food was freshly cooked and to a good standard but quite pricey. The Bavarian music would probably not be to everyone’s taste but it fitted with the décor of a Swiss or Austrian Inn. Nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant staff. The hotel was very clean with car parking very close by. This hotel is not cheap but represented good value for money given its location and the excellent breakfast.

Location is great for skiing not so much in October

Stayed here one night. Was hoping tram would be open for a trip up mountain for the view. It was in between seasons so a lot of stores and restaurants closed. They were doing road work right in front of hotel. Hotel rooms a bit dated but had a comfortable bed. Front desk didn’t tell us which lock to use (didn’t see 2nd lock)and internet was spotty. Dinner was ok but breakfast was much better. Servers were very good. I left pair of nice pj’s there and when I called next day the said housekeeping didn’t find which I don’t believe at all..either tossed or kept...who knows but rubbed me wrong way very unapologetic reply.
