Taormina’s beloved shopping street, Corso Umberto I, is just out the door at this popular family pick in the old town. Most of the hotel’s 63 rooms have balconies with views of the Ionian Sea. And there’s an onsite pool and gym, too. Family rooms sleep up to four people with a double and two twin beds.

This hotel deliberately stinks up its public areas with perfumed incense sticks. This causes nasty indoor air pollution, resulting in burning eyes, asthma attacks, racking cough in sensitive individuals. Unless you can tolerate this intentional air pollution, stay someplace else.

Modern hotel with nice amenities. A big minus was the overuse of scent in the lobby, which annoyed several people in our tour group. The room also had a fair amount of unnecessary scent. Buffet breakfast was OK. Great Wi-Fi. Bedroom curtains didn’t completely cover the windows, so a lot of light crept in. Fantastic views from ocean facing rooms.
