One of the closest hotels to the main gate of Disneyland, the Park Vue Inn is a popular choice for families looking for an alternative to pricey Disney hotels while still enjoying comfortable accommodations in a convenient location. At the Park Vue, you’ll have a five- to 10-minute walk to the main gate of Disneyland, allowing you to easily go back and forth from the park for a mid-day nap or dip in the outdoor pool.
The hotel’s rooms were renovated in 2007 and offer a variety of configurations, including a Queen and One Bunkbed room perfect for families. All rooms offer an in-room safe, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. For your convenience, there is a coin-operated laundry and gift shop on property, and Disneyland Passports and Resort Park Hopper Tickets are available upon your arrival.
Another perk at the hotel is the complimentary breakfast and light dinner daily, which will save you both money and time. The breakfast buffet includes coffee, eggs, potatoes, milk, juice, cereal, yogurt and make your own waffles. Kids won’t let you miss the Coldstone Creamery just off the main lobby.
Guests remark on the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, water and lemonade in the lobby, fresh cranberry juice and hot cookies, great view of the fireworks, and general convenience of the hotel. Wi-Fi and parking are free.

I love this place and cannot wait to stay here again, it is my new go to hotel for Disneyland. I was a bit hesitant about booking it since we had our daughter with us and the only room available was the deluxe king with a Jacuzzi in the room. I’m so glad that we went ahead and stayed here. The Jacuzzi came in handy after a long day at the park and we just wore our swimsuits, so it ended up being fine. It is literally the closest you can get to Disneyland without staying at the Disney hotel. The crosswalk is right outside of the hotel door. The continental breakfast was good and opens at 6:30 AM so we were able to eat before heading to the park. They had bacon eggs biscuits gravy waffles toast bagels coffee chocolate milk...the staple continental breakfast. The bed was really comfortable and we slept great. There were mosquitoes but I have a feeling you would get that at any hotel. All in all we absolutely loved our stay here, the price is right and the location is fantastic.
So the biggest pro for this place is its location which is why we returned. Hard to find a hotel closer to the pedestrian entrance. The front desk staff also continues to be good.
However, unlike our first time here, I believe we ran into a few more minor issues.
First, noise. Although our room was towards the back of the hotel and somewhat private it was near a work project that was going on (to repair a metal gate of some type) Although signs at the front desk advised that work would be done between 8am and 5pm, the workers actually started working before 7am or at least preparing to work. We heard metal pipes being moved and even dropped.
Another noise issue was the ridiculously loud ac unit in the room. It is right next to the bed and much louder than other wall units. What made it more frustrating was the fact it would click off and on so often. You would figure that such an issue would could easily resolved by replacing with a quieter model.
Second, maids and room upkeep. So the park opened at 8am so we left our room at 7:30 a.m. We did not return to our room until 2:45pm/3pm. During that 7 hour span, the maid was not able to make it to our room. We then returned to the park at 4:30/5pm and upon returning after midnight, the room again was not serviced. I get maids have other rooms to clean but I never understand how other hotels I stay at have no trouble getting to a room in a 4 hour absence but other hotels can't get to it in a 7 hour absence.
Similarly, there were signs of room upkeep issues. The most noticeable was the shower drain which started to back up almost instantly after turning the water on. Sorry but that is something that should be discovered before handing the room off to a guest.
So again this hotel has a good location, good front desk staff, and a comfortable bed but it certainly needs a little more attention to detail to maintain its place in the TA rankings.
I am not certain if I will return to this hotel during a next Disneyland visit as I likely will look into other options.
