Cozy Hotel with a great location near downtown Portsmouth

by DocDan8

I really liked this hotel. Very clean, cozy and comfortable with all the amenities. Just a 5 minute drive to downtown Portsmouth. The free breakfast had many choices and available from 6:30 till 10:00. The staff were very friendly. If you have trouble with stairs, ask for a ground level room. I will sure visit again when in the area.

Great Breakfast and easy access

Right off Highway 1 so easy to find. The room was large but a bit dated. Was nice size and a kitchenette included. Not too far from the downtown area of Portsmouth, which I have to say we found very pleasant with many interesting shops. We had dinner at the River House-I can recommend the fish chowder but the rest of the meal was nothing special. We sat out on the deck because it was supposed to be heated, but the heaters were not on and it was brisk. The waitress was however exceptional.

The Port Inn was a good stopover spot and was very comfortable, again with a nice breakfast option included-nothing really walkable but good access to the downtown by car.
