PRETENTIOUS HOTEL, BUT.....

by bullettinthesky

Yes, this hotel is very pretentious, but as a matter of fact is far from what it probably supposed to be

PRO.

Location. very convenient and easy to reach from the airport and with other public transportation

WiFi. Working fine everywhere

Staff. Just very formal, but polite

CONTRA

Rooms. The rooms are large, but the furnitures are not old (that may be good), but old style. The armchairs are worn by time and with spots all over. The bathroom (at least mine), not particularly clean, the bath tube in particular.

Breakfast. The breakfast room is not as large as it should be for a big hotel, but this does not really matter. The choice of food is quite limited, especially concerning the fresh fruit and the pastries section.

Overall, hotel has signs of decadence. Not worth the money.

Very classy - and friendly

Lovely place to stay for a weekend and the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Beware of prices though a with 12 euros for a vip if tea for example. Late checkout helped with extended stay on Sunday.
