Great Airport Hotel

by Renstar

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel is. We arrived on an early morning international flight & was able to check in 3hrs early, which was much needed.

Everything was of a high standard, the lobby, bar area & rooms are clean and nicely styled. Our room was spacious, quiet, and the beds are really comfy. The staff are friendly and helpful.

There are food/coffee options within walking distance and lovely Manhattan Beach, with great restaurants & bars is only a 15 min Uber ride away.

Fairly basic service. Much Noisier than expected

Based on previous stays in other cities I associate the Renaissance brand with high standard service levels. In that respect I was disappointed by the obviously pared back service delivered here as it seemed to be closer to the Courtyard standard. The room itself was well presented and comfortable, the parking arrangement ok though horribly expensive. It’s close location to the airport does mean that it’s in the vicinity of aircraft noise. I’ve stayed in many airport hotels where I’ve hardly noticed the noise was disturbing until late and started very early, and it made me question the effectiveness of the building soundproofing. It didn’t appear that any is installed. The free buffet breakfast was worth twice what we paid for it.
