Good Stay

by Tony M

I so wanted to rate this hotel a 5 but couldn't and I'll tell you why.
First off, the staff was very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the dining staff.
The rooms were clean and it was a well kept hotel. Breakfast was good and plentiful as well as the dinner time snacks. One day there was a food truck also and guests received a $10 credit. This is why I could not give it 5 stars. I am a Marriott rewards member with Gold status and stay at Marriott hotels where available. My profile clearly states I prefer higher floors and when I checked in, there was no recognition of my rewards status and I was placed in a 1st floor level room. I had booked a month in advance and did an e-check in prior to my arrival and yet my room was not my preferred choice of a higher floor. Secondly from the day I checked in to the day I checked out my room reeked of curry. I didn't mind it as I realize it is a long term stay hotel and perhaps guests cook in their rooms. But at least use air freshners or ioning machines to get the smell out of the room if not when the guest checks in but when you are doing housekeeping daily. Third, I had a desk light bulb out in my room and since I was staying there the whole week for business, this was an important detail for me. When I complained to the front desk, they send someone who check and verified I needed a bulb as it was flickering on and off, but he stated they had no bulbs (for the entire week? No one could find or buy a light bulb?) With that said, it was an overall good experience.

Amy is Excellent Employee

by Helen T

I checked in Sunday with my family. Amy had a beautiful smile and welcomed as soon as we walked in. She checked us in right away efficiently. I asked for extra pillows and towels and she did not hesitate to get me the items. I usually stay at the Ethan Allen but from here on out I will be staying at the residence inn. I’ve never been to a “social mix” I attended and there Amy was to help my family and I again, we were pleased with the presentation and how attentive she was to us. We thank you for a wonderful experience
