You can’t get any closer to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas, than The Resort at Schlitterbahn, which offers overnight accommodations for water park guests. Guests of the hotel enjoy early access to select rides, as well as extended hours at select attractions. Purchase the Stay & Play Package to combine water park admission with overnight accommodations.

The Resort at Schlitterbahn offers a wide array of accommodations to suit any family’s needs, from standard guestrooms to vacation homes (and everything in between). Condos and vacation homes have fully equipped kitchens, too, allowing families the option to prepare their own meals. We especially love the Wasser Haus and Lodge, where rooms overlook the Comal River. The 5-bedroom house at Wasser Haus and Lodge can also sleep up to 23 guests — perfect for multigenerational getaways or family reunions.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is standard throughout the property, and other perks include in-room spa services, bike rentals, picnic areas and local excursions.

Horrible customer service

by tip190

We booked our stay at this resort as it was conveniently located to Wurstfest and for the package they offered. Upon check in it was discovered that the booking was not correct. At that time we tried to discuss our options and bring to their attention that there was a problem with their website but our concerns fell on deaf ears. After paying our total balanced owed we requested to pay the difference to receive the correct package. We were quoted a dollar amount and after waiting 30 minutes with no resolution we asked them to charge it to our bill as we needed to get to the festival. At time of check out the balance was different than what they had quoted us. During the entire process the staff worker Cassidy gave us horrible customer service and the resort did not try to resolve any issues and to treat the customer with respect. We were told we could speak to the manager but that was not going to change the resolution at all either. We had a great time staying at the resort and the room was great, but dealing with the front desk and the lack of customer service we received, I am not sure we would ever go back!

Would recommend when visiting waterpark but just OK for Wurstfest stay

by Jeanne G

We've stayed at Schlitterbahn (original) resort for summer weekends when also going to the waterpark, which we love. This weekend we were going to New Braunfels for Wurstfest & decided to stay at the (original) resort again. When we got into room to drop our belongings & get ready to go to Wurstfest, the commode would not flush. When I called the front desk, the woman said, "yes, we know & I've already called maintenance". This was around 4:00pm. I wonder why they would let guests go into a room without a working commode? When we returned to the room around 9:00pm, the commode STILL had not been fixed. We called again & a maintenance man came to repair. This was very inconvenient since by this time we were tired, wanted to shower & go to bed. Other than a few dead bugs (not roaches) on windowsill in bathroom, the room was ok: very dated & cramped, but, hey, it's old. The bed was very comfortable. Reservation came with breakfast at the Bavarian Hall - I would not recommend eating this - try to get a reservation without breakfast. it was scrambled eggs that had no taste and bacon that was not fully cooked (I saw more than one person trying to go back to get fully cooked bacon but were told that's all they had). I would stay here again in summer because of convenience to water park but will stay elsewhere for Wurstfest trips.
